LET'S WORK TOGETHER!
Are you ready for quilting?
PREPARATION:
I require the backing and batting to be 4" extra ON ALL SIDES.
For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller.

HELPFUL TIPS TO TIDY IT UP:

If you press your top and backing so that it's nice and flat, you will be happier with your results. As a bonus it makes it quick and easy for me to load. You'll have a faster return.
Please fix any holes, rips, loose or broken stitches. These are much easier to fix before quilting has begun. I do charge a fee if you want me to fix the problem.
Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. To prevent dark threads from shadowing through your quilt top, please don't skip this important step!
Don't worry, I'll watch for any major issues.
Please don't add buttons, beads or other 3D decorative elements until quilting is finished.

It's also a good idea to take a "victory lap" around the outside edge of your quilt. To do this, with a regular stitch length, stitch 1/8" away from from the outside raw edge of your quilt top, around the entire perimeter, being careful to not stretch the fabric. This extra line of stitching helps to keep your seam allowances in the direction you pressed them, and gives your seams an extra level of protection from being pulled apart. Don't worry, this stitching will be hidden nicely by the binding!

QUILTING CHOICE:
I want this to be fun for you and not overwhelming! I'm happy to give suggestions or even choose for you. Sometimes "done" is best. Together, we can give your quilt the beautiful texture it deserves.
